FAQ

SolarBrick is the latest in lithium technology. It’s a direct replacement for lead-acid batteries used for energy storage. It utilizes the safest LiFePO4 lithium chemistry. By replacing a lead-acid battery with a SolarBrick, you will get 2x the usable energy with ½ the weight.

The battery will last anywhere between 2 and 5 thousand cycles, depending on the temperature, charge and discharge rate, and charger quality.

The battery is designed as an energy storage source and easily stores energy from solar, wind, or an AC charger. It can also be used to start small engines (marine, up to 90 HP), ATVs, or used to run trolling motors.

The batteries are maintenance free. There is no water to check, no electrolysis. After all, they’re designed to make your life easier!

The self-discharge rate is less than 3.5% a month, so it could be Shopd for 2 years before it needs to be recharged.

The battery can be charged between 32 to 113°F (0 to 45°C) and discharged between -4 to 140°F (-20 to 60°C).

100AH batteries come in 2 sizes: Group 24 (10⅛" x 6⅝ x 9) and Group 31 (13" x 6¾" x 9").

Terminal threads are 5/16” so that bolts are easily replaceable.

The batteries can be used in series up to 2 batteries (24 volts) and unlimited parallel in order to increase capacity.

The BMS is an internal protection system. It shuts the battery off if it is out of charge, discharge, and temperature parameters. It also balances internal cells.

Yes, an AGM setting on the standard charger is very similar to the LiFePO4 settings.
